Nitrous oxide makes a patient feel very relaxed – sometimes sleepy, sometimes almost euphoric. Unlike oral sedatives, nitrous oxide can be adjusted throughout the procedure and there are no residual effects.

Recovery is quick and patients can go home on their own – without assistance. It is important to point out that nitrous oxide sedation works very well for most but not all people.
